About UsDoxpub is a Washington-state Corporation whose mission is delivering publications that improve the quality and reduce the cost of healthcare. We pursue this mission by making quality and compliance information more accessible and by reducing the recordkeeping burden on an industry-wide scale.
Management and History Chris Whalley, configuration manager and business analyst, is publisher and president of the company. The son of an independent bookstore owner and a poet, Chris's interest in business and written communication began early in life. After studying information technology at Peninsula Community College and creative writing at the University of Puget Sound, he eventually settled in Seattle, WA and entered the life sciences industry in 1999. While working in a biotech startup, Chris quickly recognized the importance and costs of documentation in FDA-regulated industries. He also saw how publishing could be used to make it easier for healthcare professionals to learn about the different types of documents in their industry. Since jotting the original business idea on a 3" x 5" index card in 2002, Chris has grown the company into an internationally recognized resource, which now includes a catalog of 400 + documents, a growing list of web-based training courses, and partnerships with Thomson Corporation, ComplianceOnline and ValGenesis. In addition to owning and operating Doxpub, Chris continues working full-time in the industry and is currently a Senior Configuration Manager for a combination drug/medical device company. He also participates in organizations such as the Society for Technical Communication (STC), Organization of Clinical and Regulatory Associates (ORCA) and the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society (RAPS). |
